Shelly 24V Troubleshooting Success Story

I wanted to share my recent experience with troubleshooting a Shelly 24V device in my smart home setup. After spending several days experimenting with different configurations and settings, I finally managed to resolve the recurring reset issues that were causing frustration in my garden irrigation system. The setup involved a Shelly switch controlling a 24V magnet valve, with manual override via a pressure switch. Initially, every time I triggered the valve, the Shelly would crash, logging an ‘RESTARTED’ alarm. This was perplexing, especially since the same device worked flawlessly on 230V in other applications.Through meticulous testing, I discovered that the issue was related to voltage fluctuations on the 24V line. By adding a voltage stabilizer and implementing a debounce circuit on the input side, I was able to eliminate the reset problem. Additionally, updating the Shelly firmware to the latest version (available through the official repository) further stabilized the operation. This experience taught me the importance of considering voltage regulation in low-voltage applications, especially when integrating third-party devices like Shelly into a smart home ecosystem. I’m now confident that my garden irrigation system will operate reliably without further interruptions. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues with Shelly devices on 24V, I highly recommend checking the power supply stability and experimenting with debounce circuits on input triggers. Happy tinkering! :rocket:
