Hi everyone, I’ve been having some trouble with my Shelly 2PM units lately. After updating the firmware, I noticed that the devices were frequently losing their connection to the network. It was quite frustrating because one of my Shelly 1PM units was working perfectly fine without any issues. The connection would drop, and then it would come back, but it was inconsistent and unreliable.
I tried a few things to troubleshoot the problem. First, I checked the Wi-Fi signal strength in the area where the Shelly 2PM units are located. Everything seemed fine, so I ruled out any issues with the network itself. Next, I looked into the device settings to see if there were any updates or configurations that might have caused the problem. I found that the firmware was up to date, so that wasn’t the issue.
After some research, I discovered that sometimes firmware updates can cause unexpected issues, especially if the devices are not fully compatible with the new version. I decided to try reverting to a previous firmware version to see if that would resolve the problem.Fortunately, reverting to an older firmware version worked like a charm! The Shelly 2PM units are now maintaining a stable connection without any issues. I also noticed that the data logging feature, which I had been having trouble with, is now functioning properly.
I want to thank the community for your support and advice. It’s great to have such a helpful and knowledgeable group to turn to when things go wrong. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I highly recommend checking your firmware versions and considering a rollback if necessary. It might just be the solution you’re looking for!
