Shelly and UniFi Issues Solved: A Smooth Experience

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience with integrating Shelly devices into my UniFi setup. For years, I’ve relied on Shellys for various smart home tasks, and they’ve been rock solid. However, recently after updating my UniFi AP firmware, I noticed some instability—my Shellys would disconnect and reconnect every 30 minutes to an hour. It was quite frustrating, especially since they had been working perfectly before the update.

After some research, I stumbled upon a solution that others had mentioned: disabling eco mode on the Shelly devices. At first, I wasn’t sure how eco mode would affect connectivity, but giving it a try made all the difference. The issue stopped immediately, and my Shellys have been running smoothly ever since.

I thought I’d share this in case anyone else is experiencing similar issues. It’s a simple fix that can save a lot of hassle. If you’re managing a setup with Shellys and UniFi, keep this in mind for any future firmware updates!
