Hi everyone, I’ve been using the Shelly Door/Window 2 sensors for a while now, and I’ve noticed something a bit concerning regarding their battery life. I installed one on my front door back in July, and it worked perfectly for the first few weeks. However, just a month later, the battery dropped significantly, and the device stopped working entirely. The battery percentage went from 100% to 92% in just ten days, which seems unusually fast.
What’s even more puzzling is that the device stopped sending battery level updates at 92%, and when I checked the voltage, one battery was almost completely drained while the other was still fine. I replaced both batteries, and the sensor came back online immediately.
I’m wondering if this is a common issue or if there’s something I might be missing. Is it normal for the battery to drain so quickly, especially when the door isn’t being used frequently? Also, why did one battery drain so much faster than the other? I’d appreciate any insights or advice on how to prevent this from happening again.
Thanks in advance for your help!
