Installation Process I started by connecting the Shelly EM according to the instructions—linking the neutral and live wires from my home’s circuit to the device. The idea was to monitor the power consumption of my solar panel setup on the balcony. However, after connecting everything and turning on the power, the device didn’t show up on my Wi-Fi network. The Challenge I was a bit puzzled. I double-checked the connections, reset the device multiple times, and even tried a different power source. Nothing seemed to work. I couldn’t help feeling a bit frustrated, especially since I was excited to start tracking my energy usage. The Solution After some research, I realized that the placement of the Shelly EM might have been the issue. The device requires a stable power supply and proper grounding to function correctly. It’s amazing how a little troubleshooting can lead to such a satisfying outcome.
