Shelly Integration and Smart Lighting Setup

Hi everyone, I’m really excited to share my recent journey into the world of smart home automation. I’ve been experimenting with integrating my existing home systems with some Shelly devices, and it’s been a fascinating experience!

I recently added a Shelly 2.5 to my setup, and I’m curious about how others have managed to integrate it alongside their existing systems. Specifically, I have an electrically operated tilting window that’s currently controlled by an RCM 230-11-U receiver. I’m wondering if it’s possible to use the Shelly 2.5 in parallel to control the window both via the conventional remote and the Shelly app. This would allow me to keep the existing functionality intact while adding smart capabilities. Has anyone tried something similar? Any tips or precautions I should be aware of?

On another note, I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my Govee products. They’ve transformed my home lighting setup, and I’m always on the lookout for new ways to enhance my experience. Speaking of which, I recently converted a friend to the Govee family by gifting her a Govee ice maker. She’s been raving about it, and it’s been a joy seeing her embrace the smart home lifestyle!

I’m also curious about anyone who’s successfully used the Homey KNX app with a Bab-Tec EIBport gateway. I’ve been having some issues with sending KNX messages, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to enforce tunneling mode or if others have encountered similar challenges. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Lastly, I’m always on the lookout for new smart lighting solutions. If anyone has any recommendations or experiences to share, I’d love to hear about them. Let’s keep the conversation flowing and help each other make our homes smarter!

Cheers, [Your Name]
