Shelly Plug S: Metering & Points Tips

I wanted to share my experience with the Shelly Plug S and how I’ve been able to track my energy usage effectively. For those who are new to Shelly products, this device has been a game-changer for me in monitoring my home’s energy consumption. I recently received the Shelly Plug S and was excited to see how it could help me understand my energy usage better. However, I was initially a bit confused about how to access and download the metering data from the Shelly device. After some research, I discovered that while Shelly Cloud allows you to download consumption data, it only provides data in watt-hours (Wh). But I wanted to see this data in a more detailed format, such as watts per second (W/s). I reached out to the Shelly support team, and they were incredibly helpful in guiding me through the process. They explained that while the Shelly Cloud app doesn’t currently support downloading data in W/s, there are third-party apps and tools that can help with this. I decided to try one of these tools, and it worked perfectly! I was able to get the detailed data I was looking for. I wanted to share this experience because I know how frustrating it can be when you’re new to a product and don’t know where to start. I also wanted to express my gratitude to the Shelly support team for their prompt and helpful assistance. For anyone else who’s struggling with similar issues, don’t hesitate to reach out to the support team—they’re really supportive and knowledgeable. Additionally, I wanted to talk about how I’ve been able to earn points in the community. I’ve found that participating in discussions and sharing my experiences has been a great way to earn points. I’ve also found that helping others with their questions has been very rewarding. I encourage everyone to share their experiences and tips because it not only helps others but also helps you learn more about your devices and the community. Overall, I’m really happy with the Shelly Plug S and the support I’ve received. I hope this post helps someone else who’s just starting out with Shelly products. Thanks for reading, and happy automating!
