I’ve been diving into the world of Shelly devices lately, and I’m absolutely fascinated by their versatility. I recently set up a Shelly PLUS 1 on a simple light switch, and it’s been working like a charm. The real magic started when I added a Shelly BLU Door/Window sensor to my balcony door. The idea was to have the light turn on automatically when the door opens, and it works perfectly—most of the time!
Here’s the fun part: I noticed that after the door triggers the light to come on, I need to press the switch twice to turn it off. The first press does nothing, and the second one finally turns the light off. It’s a bit quirky, but I can live with it for now. I’m curious if others have encountered this behavior or if there’s a way to configure the system so that the switch works seamlessly even after being triggered by the door sensor.
If anyone has tips or tricks for optimizing this setup, I’d love to hear them! Maybe there’s a smarter way to handle the automation or a setting I’ve overlooked. Let’s brainstorm together and make this setup even more seamless!
Cheers,
Fabian
