Shelly Plus as a CycleSwitch Emulator for Roller Shutter Control

I came across an innovative solution for controlling a Shelly 2.5 roller shutter using a Shelly Plus device, and I wanted to share it with the community! This setup allows you to emulate a CycleSwitch, enabling remote control of the roller shutter without needing to press physical buttons repeatedly. Here’s how it works:

  1. Setup Requirements: You’ll need a Shelly 2.5 in roller shutter mode and a Shelly Plus (either 1 or 1PM model). Connect a button to the Shelly Plus’s SW port.

  2. Functionality: When you press the button connected to the Shelly Plus:

  • If the roller shutter is closed, it will open.
  • If it’s open, it will close.
  • If it’s moving, it will stop.
  1. Customization: The script used for this setup is available on GitHub, and you just need to adjust the IP address of your Shelly 2.5 device. This method is a great example of how creative scripting can solve everyday problems in smart home setups!

If anyone has tried similar solutions or has questions about implementing this, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Let’s keep sharing these awesome hacks! :rocket:
