Shelly Pro 2 Installation and Configuration Tips

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a Shelly Pro 2 to control two separate LED light lines in my garden. I wanted to share my experience and some tips I discovered during the setup process.

Initially, I was a bit confused about the wiring configuration since I didn’t want to install any physical switches. I followed the wiring diagram provided, connecting only the live and neutral wires at the bottom of the device. This setup allowed me to control the output, and I could even hear the relay switching. However, I encountered an issue where the lights were on by default, and turning them off caused a power cut on the main board.

After some research and reaching out to the community, I found that the key was in the wiring configuration. By adjusting how the live and neutral wires were connected, I was able to resolve the default on state issue. I also discovered that using the Shelly app to configure the device settings made the process much smoother.

One tip I would share is to carefully review the wiring diagrams and ensure that all connections are secure. Additionally, taking the time to familiarize yourself with the app’s settings and features can save a lot of frustration. The Shelly Pro 2 has been a great addition to my smart garden setup, and I’m excited to explore more advanced configurations in the future.

If anyone has questions or needs help with their Shelly Pro 2 installation, feel free to ask! Happy tinkering!
