Shelly Pro 3em Integration with Solakon App: A Success Story

I recently faced a challenge integrating my Shelly Pro 3em with the Solakon app, and I thought I’d share my journey and solution with the community. This experience was both frustrating and enlightening, and I hope it can help others who might be encountering similar issues.**The Problem:**I have a single-phase setup at home and decided to use the Shelly Pro 3em for its versatility. After connecting it and configuring it in the Shelly app, everything seemed to be working smoothly. However, when I tried integrating it with the Solakon app, nothing happened. The app didn’t recognize the Shelly Pro 3em, and I couldn’t get any data to show up. This was perplexing because the Shelly app was functioning perfectly.**The Investigation:**I started by checking the settings in both apps. The Shelly app was set to ‘MonoPhase,’ which I thought was correct for my setup. However, when I looked into the Solakon app, it seemed like it wasn’t pulling any data from the Shelly. I wondered if Solakon was trying to access data from inactive phases, which could explain the issue. I reached out to the community for advice, and while some suggested troubleshooting steps, nothing clicked immediately.**The Solution:**After some research and trial and error, I discovered that the issue was related to how Solakon retrieves data. It turns out that Solakon was attempting to access data from the other two phases, which weren’t active in my setup. This was causing a conflict, and the app couldn’t process the data correctly. To resolve this, I needed to ensure that Solakon was only pulling data from the active phase.I adjusted the settings in the Shelly app to explicitly set it to ‘MonoPhase’ and made sure that the Solakon app was configured to recognize this setup. Once I did this, the integration worked seamlessly. The Solakon app now correctly displays the energy consumption data from the Shelly Pro 3em.**Lessons Learned:**This experience taught me the importance of carefully configuring each app, especially when integrating devices from different manufacturers. It also highlighted the value of community support and the wealth of knowledge available in forums like this one. By sharing my experience, I hope to save others time and frustration if they encounter similar issues. If anyone else is struggling with Shelly and Solakon integration, feel free to reach out, and I’ll be happy to help!
