Shelly RGBW2 and LED Panel Integration Experience

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my experience integrating a Shelly RGBW2 with a new LED panel I recently purchased. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m really happy with the results so far!

I went with the Dimmbare LED-Deckenlampe Philia mit veränderbarer Lichtfarbe and decided to replace the original CCT-RGB controller with a Shelly RGBW2. The setup process was straightforward, and I love how it allows me to control the warm and cool segments separately through Channels 1 and 2.

However, there’s one thing that’s been on my mind. When I set both channels to 100%, the Shelly RGBW2 shows a power consumption that exceeds the 30W rating of the LED driver. I’ve only tested this briefly to avoid potentially damaging the driver. At 50%, the power consumption fluctuates between readings, which is a bit concerning. I’m curious if others have experienced similar behavior or if there might be a setting I’m missing on the Shelly device.

I’m also wondering if the original CCT-RGB controller had some form of brightness limitation when mixing warm and cool tones, something that might not be accounted for with the Shelly setup. It would be great to hear if anyone else has encountered this or has tips on optimizing the integration.

Overall, I’m really impressed with how the Shelly RGBW2 has enhanced the functionality of my LED panel. It’s definitely a step up from the original controller, and I’m excited to continue tweaking it to get the best performance possible.

Thanks to everyone in the community for the wealth of information and support!
