Shelly TRV and Room Thermostat Combination for Energy Savings

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with integrating a Shelly TRV into my existing heating system. I’ve been looking for ways to optimize my energy usage, especially with the rising energy costs, and I thought this might be a good starting point.

I have a gas-fired heating system with a room thermostat in the living room. The thermostat controls the heating, but I’ve always felt that it wasn’t giving me the level of control I wanted, especially during colder months. After doing some research, I came across the Shelly TRV and decided to give it a try.

The installation process was straightforward, and I was able to set it up without any major issues. The Shelly TRV works seamlessly with my existing system, and the integration with my smart home setup has been a game-changer. I can now monitor and adjust the temperature from my phone, which is incredibly convenient.

One of the best features I’ve noticed is the ability to set different temperature zones. This has allowed me to keep the living room at a comfortable temperature while reducing the heat in areas that aren’t as frequently used. I’ve already noticed a significant drop in my energy bills, which is a huge plus.

I’d love to hear from others who have tried similar setups. Have you noticed any energy savings? What tips do you have for optimizing a Shelly TRV with a room thermostat? I’m always looking for ways to improve my setup and would appreciate any advice or experiences you’re willing to share.

Thanks for reading, and happy tinkering!
