I recently embarked on a exciting project to integrate my Shelly UNI Plus with a Gardena 24V AC Magnet Valve for automated watering. At first, I was a bit unsure if the Shelly UNI Plus, which supports up to 300mA, would be sufficient for the Gardena valve’s requirement of 130-150mA. After some research and testing, I’m thrilled to report that it works perfectly! The Shelly UNI Plus provides the necessary power, and the integration process was smoother than I anticipated. I even created a simple automation using Home Assistant to trigger the valve based on soil moisture levels. If anyone is considering a similar setup, I highly recommend checking the power requirements beforehand and ensuring your Shelly device is up to date. It’s been a fantastic addition to my smart garden system!
