I just wanted to share a quick update on my latest smart home project! I recently installed the Govee Glide lights in my living room, and they’ve completely transformed the ambiance. The smooth transitions and vibrant colors are absolutely stunning. It’s amazing how lighting can really set the mood for a space. I’ve been using them with my Home Assistant setup, and integrating them was surprisingly straightforward. The app has some great preset scenes that I’ve been experimenting with, and I love how customizable everything is.
On a different note, I’ve been working on a custom board using the nRF52833 and nRF21540 for a BLE project. It’s been quite the learning curve, especially getting the FEM to stabilize properly. I tried manually controlling the FEM using GPIO and SPI, but I’m hitting a snag with the range—only about 40 meters outdoors. I’m wondering if the timing between enabling PDN or TX_EN and starting BLE advertising is off. Maybe using the FEM driver would provide better control? I’m also curious if others have encountered similar issues or have tips for optimizing the gain settings. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Overall, it’s been a fun mix of hardware tinkering and smart home automation. I’m really enjoying how these projects come together and enhance my daily life. If anyone has questions or wants to share their own experiences, I’d love to hear them!
