Hey everyone! I recently got my hands on a Smart AC control, and I must say, the installation process was a bit confusing at first. I thought I’d share my experience and some tips to help others who might be going through the same thing.
First off, the installation instructions were pretty minimal. I had to figure out how to connect it to my Wi-Fi on my own. If you’re in the same boat, here’s what I did: I made sure my AC was plugged in and powered on, then I pressed and held the setup button on the device until the LED started flashing. After that, my phone automatically detected the device, and I could connect it to my home network through the Smart AC app.
Now, about HomeKit. I wasn’t aware that I needed the Home app to control my Smart AC. It wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the installation guide, so I was a bit puzzled at first. Once I downloaded the Home app, everything started making sense. I could add my Smart AC to my home setup, and it integrated perfectly with my other smart devices. If you’re planning to use HomeKit, make sure you have the Home app installed on your phone!
Another thing I wanted to mention is about using HomeKit when I’m not on my home Wi-Fi. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to control my AC when I’m out, but I discovered that setting up a Home Hub in the Home app solved the problem. Now, I can control my AC from anywhere, even when I’m not connected to my home network. It’s been a lifesaver!
Overall, the Smart AC has been a great addition to my home. It’s made controlling my AC so much easier, and I love how it integrates with my other smart devices. If you’re thinking about getting one, I’d say go for it! Just remember to download the Home app and set up a Home Hub if you want to use it with HomeKit.
Happy smartening everyone! ![]()
