Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent project where I built a smart aquarium monitoring system using an ESP32. It’s been a fun and educational journey, and I’m excited to see how others might improve on it or share their experiences.I started with a simple goal: monitor my aquarium’s temperature and TDS levels. After some research, I decided to go with an ESP32S module, a DS18B20 temperature sensor, and a TDS meter probe. The setup was straightforward, and I used ESPHome for configuration. The hardest part was calibrating the TDS sensor, but after some trial and error, it’s working great!Now, I’m looking to add a pH sensor to the mix. I’ve heard that pH sensors can be a bit tricky, especially in terms of calibration and integration. I’m considering whether to use a separate ESP32 module for the pH sensor or if it’s possible to add it to my current setup. I’m also curious about the best type of pH sensor to use for an aquarium environment.If anyone has experience with integrating pH sensors into their aquarium monitoring systems, I’d love to hear your tips, recommendations, or even warnings about potential pitfalls.
