Hey everyone! I wanted to share an exciting update on my recent smart home project. A few weeks ago, I installed 15 motorized smart blinds in my home. It was a bit of a task, but seeing them automatically open and close with the sunrise and sunset has been absolutely worth it! 
While working on the project, I got a bit inspired and started thinking about adding some Govee lights to the mix. The idea is to have the lights change color when the blinds moveālike a cool little indicator that theyāre opening or closing. I was half-joking about it at first, but now Iām seriously considering it! It could add a fun visual touch to the whole setup.
I mentioned the idea to my wife, and she gave me that look that says, āAre you serious?ā But hey, if it works, it could be pretty neat! Iām thinking of starting with a small setup and seeing how it goes. If anyone has experience with combining smart blinds and LED lights, Iād love to hear your thoughts or tips!
In the meantime, Iāve been really impressed with how smooth the motorized blinds have been to use. Theyāve completely changed the way I manage natural light in my home. Itās little things like this that make me love smart home tech even more!
