Smart Blinds Automation Setup - Need Assistance!

Hey everyone, I’m really excited to dive into the world of smart home automation, and I’m currently exploring smart blinds to enhance my living space. I’ve been using Google Home as my primary voice assistant, and I want to ensure that my smart blinds can integrate seamlessly with it. However, I’m running into a few hurdles and I’m hoping the community can offer some guidance!

First off, I want to set up a schedule for my blinds so they open and close at specific times throughout the day. For instance, I’d love for them to open slightly at 7:00 AM to let in some morning light and then fully open by 7:30 AM as I start my day. This would not only be convenient but also help regulate the natural light in my home. I’m also curious if it’s possible to set multiple stages for the blinds to open incrementally, adding a nice touch to my mornings.

Another feature I’m keen on is voice control. I want to be able to say, ‘Hey Google, open the bedroom blind’ or even specify a percentage, like ‘Hey Google, open the bedroom blind 20%’. This level of control would make managing my blinds incredibly easy and intuitive. However, I’m not entirely sure how to configure these settings or if there are any specific devices that support such functionality.

I’ve done some research and come across various smart blind brands, but I’m not sure which ones would best suit my needs. I’m looking for something reliable that can integrate smoothly with Google Home and offer the features I mentioned. If anyone has personal experience with smart blinds and could share their setup or recommendations, I’d be incredibly grateful!

Additionally, I’m wondering if there are any common pitfalls or troubleshooting tips for setting up smart blinds. For example, are there specific Wi-Fi requirements or placement considerations that I should be aware of? I want to ensure that my setup is both functional and efficient from the start.

Thank you all in advance for your help and insights. I’m really looking forward to hearing from the community and taking my smart home setup to the next level!
