I’ve been exploring ways to enhance my travel experiences with smart technology, and I came across an interesting challenge. When staying in hotels or Airbnbs, the lighting often leaves much to be desired. I’d love to have a compact smart bulb that I can take with me and program to fade continuously throughout the day. The idea is to have predefined stages, such as cool and dim in the early morning, bright and cool during the day, warm and bright in the evening, and warm and dim at night.
The key here is that the bulb should be able to remember the programming and operate independently, even when not connected to any devices. It should also retain its settings during power outages, which means it would need a battery or a real-time clock. I’ve tried the Philips Hue White Ambience 1100, which works well with Bluetooth control, but I don’t think it can handle the independent programming I’m looking for.
Has anyone encountered a bulb that meets these requirements? I’d love to hear about any recommendations or experiences with similar devices. This could be a game-changer for making my travels more comfortable and enjoyable!
