For many years, I’ve had Logitech Pop buttons under all our light switches. They’ve been great at controlling smart light bulbs (LIFX), but Logitech are discontinuing the service in December. It’s a shame because the buttons are a nice design, very flat, and I’ve never replaced a battery in the many years I’ve had them.
I’d like to replace them with something that offers the same functionality, but it seems a difficult thing to do. We have a Google Home environment that has various brands connected to it, LIFX, Govee and Yeelight bulbs, Logitech Harmony remote, several Chromecasts, a PIR blaster, etc.
I followed some incorrect advice and got a series of buttons and a hub to connect them to. Whilst the hub connects to Google Home, the buttons don’t. Apparently, Google Home doesn’t support buttons.
Before I go buying more buttons, I’d like to know how well they integrate with Google Home and if controlling my lights is realistic with Aquara.
Can I use the smart buttons to control LIFX, Govee and Yeelights?
I’d rather not add in IFTTT, unless I must.
