I recently set up my new smart doorbell, and I must say, it’s been a game-changer for keeping an eye on my busy street. However, I quickly noticed that the camera was recording videos every time someone or something passed by, even during late-night hours. While this might seem useful, it’s not exactly ideal for privacy or storage purposes. 
At first, I was a bit overwhelmed by the settings. I tinkered with the event filters, reducing the frequency of notifications, but the device itself was still storing all those clips. I realized I needed a smarter way to manage this. After some research, I found that adjusting the trigger times was the key. Now, the doorbell only records during daylight hours, and I’ve set up a local storage device to keep my videos private and off the cloud.
