I’ve recently embarked on a project to automate my home’s curtains using smart curtain motors. It’s been an exciting journey, and I wanted to share my experiences and some questions I have along the way.
First, I’d like to highlight how much of a game-changer smart curtains have been for my daily routine. Automating the窗帘 to open at sunrise and close at sunset has not only improved my sleep quality but also added a touch of sophistication to my home. However, I’ve encountered a few challenges that I’d love to get advice on.
One thing I’m struggling with is fine-tuning the automation settings. For instance, during different seasons, the desired curtain position varies. In summer, I want the curtains to block out more sunlight, while in winter, I’d like them to let in as much natural light as possible. Is there a way to adjust the curtain position based on seasonal changes or even weather conditions?
Another aspect I’m curious about is integrating voice control. I’d love to be able to say, ‘Hey Google, close the living room curtains,’ and have it happen seamlessly. Does anyone have experience with this kind of integration, and if so, what setup did you use?
Lastly, I’m wondering if there’s a way to create scenes that combine curtain movements with other smart home devices, like adjusting the lighting or starting a playlist when the curtains open in the morning. This would truly complete the automation experience for me.
