Smart Energy Switch Troubleshooting and Solutions

I recently set up the Aeon Smart Energy Outlet Switch in my 600 sq ft apartment, and I must say, it’s been an interesting journey! The idea of automating my lights with routines like “Goodbye” and “I’m back” sounded fantastic, but getting it to work smoothly has been a bit of a challenge. The switch sometimes turns on the light but rarely turns it off, which is quite frustrating. I tried both switches I have, excluded and re-added them, and even moved my hub closer to the router—all to no avail. However, I noticed the switch works perfectly in the room where the router is located. This made me wonder: do I need a Z-Wave repeater? My apartment isn’t that large, so I’m not sure if that’s necessary. I’ve also thought about moving the hub further away from the router, but I’m not sure if that would help.

While troubleshooting, I realized the importance of understanding signal strength and interference in smart home setups. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’m hopeful that with some adjustments, I can get everything working as intended. If anyone has tips or solutions, I’d love to hear them! :rocket:
