Hey everyone! I’ve been tinkering with integrating my SmartThings setup with Amazon Echo devices, and I thought I’d share a neat project I worked on recently. I came across a really cool garage door automation project that was almost perfect, but there was one hiccup—it required a door controller, which just wasn’t compatible with my Echo setup.
I decided to dive in and see if I could modify the code to make it work. After some trial and error, I managed to tweak the code to use a virtual switch instead of a door controller. It was a bit of a learning curve, but the result is seamless integration with my Echo devices!
