Hello everyone!
I just wanted to share some of my recent experiences and thoughts about smart home automation and energy monitoring. It’s such an exciting space to be in, and I’m always learning something new!
Recently, I installed an Aeon HEM Gen1 unit in my home, and it’s been quite the journey. I paired it, and now I have three devices labeled HEM A, B, and C. Honestly, I’m a bit confused about what each one represents. HEM A shows 627 Watts and 618.2320 KWH, while HEM B is at 3132 Watts and 352.9130 KWH, and HEM C is 2599 Watts and 255.2760 KWH. I’m trying to figure out how to calculate the total energy consumption from these readings. Does anyone have any tips or resources on how to interpret these numbers? I’d also love to set up logging to track energy usage over time. I imagine this would be super helpful for optimizing my home’s energy efficiency!
Speaking of energy monitoring, I’ve been blown away by the creativity in our community. I recently came across some amazing DIY projects using Govee RGBICW lights for outdoor decorations, and I’m inspired to try something similar myself. It’s incredible how a little creativity can transform a space! If anyone has any tips or favorite DIYs, I’d love to hear about them. ![]()
On another note, I’m curious about the best practices for setting up smooth transitions for strip lights. I’ve seen some fantastic examples in the comments section, and I’m eager to try them out. Does anyone have a favorite method or plugin they swear by? I’d love to make my lighting setup as seamless and visually appealing as possible!
Lastly, I wanted to mention how impressed I’ve been with the First Alert smoke detectors. They truly do their job, and I feel much safer knowing they’re keeping watch. My only suggestion would be to consider the visual alerts they send out—maybe something a bit less intense could help reduce the initial shock during a false alarm!
I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts and experiences on these topics. Let’s keep the conversation going and continue to inspire each other! ![]()
