One of my go-to routines is the automatic closet lighting. Every time I open the closet door, the lights turn on, making it so much easier to find what I need. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference!
Another routine I absolutely love is the cat litter box counter. We have a smart litter box, and every time motion is detected, a counter increments. When it hits 100, I get an alert to clean it out. It’s a game-changer for maintaining a clean home without constantly checking the litter box.
For outdoor lighting, I’ve set up a sunset to sunrise schedule for the porch lights. They fade on 15 minutes before sunset and stay on for an hour after sunset, then fade off. It’s perfect for security and visibility without being too intrusive. Plus, I can override it if we have guests coming over.
