I started by researching devices that are compatible with my smart hub. The Tuya IoT platform has been a lifesaver, as it allows all my switches to work seamlessly. I was initially frustrated with the Fan+Light switch not working, but switching to the Fan only switch DS02F and following some troubleshooting steps resolved the issue.

One of my favorite features is creating scenes. I’ve set up routines where a single toggle switch can trigger multiple actions. For example, holding the switch for 3 seconds activates a pre-set routine for movie nights—dimming the lights, lowering the blinds, and adjusting the thermostat. It’s been a game-changer!

I’ve also focused on energy savings. Using smart plugs and scheduling devices to turn off during off-peak hours has significantly reduced my electricity bill. The Govee RGBIC strip lights have been a fantastic addition, offering customizable lighting without breaking the bank.
