Starting with the Govee Smart Ice Maker, it’s been a game-changer in my kitchen. The ability to monitor and control ice production remotely has been incredibly convenient. Plus, the sleek design and app integration make it a pleasure to use. I even managed to set up a custom automation where the ice maker alerts me when it’s time to restock water—perfect for hosting gatherings!
On the ESPHome front, I’ve been experimenting with integrating a D1 Mini and ESP32 to read data from a microcontroller in my washing machine. While it took some trial and error, I finally got it working by using a serial communication setup. This allows me to monitor the machine’s status in real-time and even send commands via Home Assistant. The satisfaction of seeing everything come together was immense!
