After months of planning and tweaking, I’m thrilled to share my latest smart home automation success story! 
I’ve managed to seamlessly integrate my Samsung washer and dryer combo with my Smartthings setup, and it’s been a game-changer for our household.
Initially, connecting the Samsung devices was a bit of a puzzle. I stumbled upon some confusing error messages about the Smartthings app versus Samsung Smart Home. After some research and reaching out to the community, I realized the key was to ensure all firmware was up to date and that I was using the latest Smartthings app. A fresh install of the Samsung Smart Home app and linking it properly did the trick! 
Now, I’ve set up a fantastic routine where the washer sends a notification to my phone when the cycle is done. It even dims the Philips Hue lights in the laundry room to remind me to transfer the clothes. Speaking of Hue, I’ve also been experimenting with their new color-changing bulbs for my son’s bedtime routine. The gradual shift from yellow to red and then off has been a hit—it’s like a gentle sunset signaling it’s time for bed.
