After spending hours tinkering with Hubitat’s automation rules, I finally managed to set up a seamless weather forecast notification system! 
Here’s how it all came together:

The Goal: I wanted my smart home to automatically trigger a text-to-speech weather forecast when I arm my security system in the morning. Perfect for grabbing the latest weather update before heading out.

The Challenge: Initially, I struggled with getting the automation to reliably trigger at the right moment. The system would either miss the event entirely or activate at random times. Hub variables seemed like the key, but I wasn’t quite nailing the configuration.

The Breakthrough: After some trial and error (and a helpful tip from a community member), I realized I needed to adjust the event monitoring settings. Once that was sorted, the automation started working like a charm!

The Result: Now, every morning, my smart speaker pipes in the current weather conditions and the day’s forecast. It’s such a small touch, but it makes starting my day so much smoother.
