Smart Home Automation with Temperature and Humidity Sensors

Hello everyone, I’m new to the world of smart home automation and I’m really excited to share my experience and ask for some advice. I recently purchased a Tuya temperature and humidity sensor to integrate into my smart home setup. The goal is to have my dehumidifier automatically turn on when the humidity reaches a certain level.

I’ve been using the Tuya app to set up scenes, but I’ve noticed something odd. When I go into the app to create a scene, it only shows the temperature reading from my sensor. Even though I can see both temperature and humidity data on the sensor itself, there’s no option to use humidity as a trigger in the scene settings. This is a bit confusing because I know the sensor is capable of detecting both metrics.

I’ve tried searching online for solutions and reached out to Tuya support, but I haven’t found a clear answer yet. I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue or if there’s a workaround to use humidity as a trigger. Maybe there’s a different app or integration that can help me achieve this?

On a positive note, I’ve been impressed with how easy it is to set up smart devices and how they can improve daily life. Automating my dehumidifier would be a great step towards a more comfortable home environment. I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences with similar setups. Thanks in advance for your help!
