Recently, I embarked on a journey to streamline my smart home setup, and I wanted to share my experience in case it helps others facing similar challenges. My setup includes a mix of Homematic IP Wired devices, APC UPS units, and various Z-Wave sensors. I also found that using a universal hub like the Hubitat Elevation helped bridge gaps between Zigbee, Z-Wave, and other protocols.
