Hello everyone, I’m new to the world of smart home technology and I’m trying to set up a few cameras around my house. I’ve got a Wyze Cam and a Ring Spotlight Cam, but I’m running into some issues with both. First, the Wyze Cam seems to have trouble staying online. It keeps disconnecting and I can’t figure out why. I’ve tried resetting it multiple times and checking the Wi-Fi connection, but nothing seems to help. Does anyone have any tips for keeping these cameras stable?
On the other hand, the Ring Spotlight Cam is working fine, but I’m struggling to integrate it with my existing smart home system. I want to set up some routines where the camera activates certain lights or notifications, but I can’t get the integration to work properly. I’ve tried using IFTTT and the SmartThings app, but I keep getting errors. Is there a better way to connect these devices together?
Also, I’m curious about recommendations for other cameras or brands that are known for reliable performance and easy integration. I’ve heard good things about Arlo, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the investment compared to what I already have. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Lastly, I’m wondering if there’s a way to automate the camera’s motion detection to only trigger during certain times of the day. I don’t want to be notified every time a bird flies by during the day, but I do want to be alerted if something happens at night. Is this possible with the cameras I have, or would I need a different model altogether?
