I’ve been looking for a reliable system that integrates seamlessly with openHAB, offers active notifications, and doesn’t require proprietary hardware or cloud storage. The Doorbird brand caught my attention, but I’ve read mixed reviews about its reliability. Are there other brands or setups that have worked well for you? Integration with Pushover for notifications would be a great bonus, especially since my phone isn’t always on the same network.
I’d also like to hear about experiences with motion sensors. I’ve had some issues with inconsistency and reliability, and I’m looking for recommendations that balance performance with ease of setup. Battery life and compatibility with different ecosystems are key factors for me.
