Smart Home Heating Control with Shelly Pro 1

Hello everyone! I’m new to this forum and just starting out with my first smart home projects using Shelly devices. I’m really excited to dive into this and learn more about how to integrate everything smoothly.

My Project Goal: I want to remotely control the electric heating in my vacation home using Shelly Pro 1. Right now, the system runs on two separate circuits, each with its own thermostat that controls a relay. The relay then switches the heating on or off.

Current Setup: My idea is to replace the existing thermostats with a Shelly Pro 1 for each circuit. This way, I can control the heating remotely without relying on the physical thermostats. I plan to install a Shelly Pro 1 in the power supply line of each thermostat to independently switch the heating circuits on and off.

My Question: I’m a bit confused about how the switches connected to the Shelly Pro 1 will interact. For example, if I turn off the heating via the Shelly app, what happens if someone physically switches the thermostat back on? Will the Shelly Pro 1 override this, or will the thermostat take priority?

I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with similar setups or can offer advice on how to ensure smooth operation. Have you encountered any challenges with integrating Shelly devices into existing heating systems? Any tips or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!
