Hello everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips with you all. ![]()

I recently configured a smart garage door opener using my CCU2 system. It was a bit of a challenge at first, but I managed to set it up so that it automatically opens and closes based on my schedule. The integration with my smartphone app was seamless, and I can now control it from anywhere. However, I did run into an issue where the app wasn’t consistently sending the right signals to the motor. After some troubleshooting, I realized it was a timing issue in the app’s configuration. A quick adjustment in the settings fixed it, and now everything works perfectly! ![]()
Another project I’ve been working on is customizing my smart lighting setup. I’ve been using the Wyze app to control my lights, and I absolutely love how easy it is to create routines and scenes. However, I noticed that the device count feature, which used to be on the home page, has disappeared. I’d really appreciate it if Wyze could bring that back—it would make managing my devices so much easier. ![]()
I’ve also been experimenting with smart security cameras. The image quality in active mode is fantastic, but I noticed that in ambient/AOD mode, the images tend to get washed out. I’m curious if others have experienced this and if there’s a workaround. It’s a minor inconvenience, but I’d love to get it sorted out. ![]()

Lastly, I’ve been exploring the use of local TTS engines like Mozilla’s, which would be a great addition to Home Assistant. It would allow for more privacy and less reliance on cloud services. I’m really hopeful that this feature will be integrated soon! ![]()
