Smart Home Integration and DIY Lighting Tips

Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into some exciting smart home projects lately and wanted to share my experiences and tips with you all.

First off, I recently upgraded my Wyze Pan cameras after they stopped working post-update. It was a bit of a rollercoaster, but I managed to get them back up by manually installing older firmware versions. It wasn’t the smoothest process, but it’s great to have them back up and running! If anyone else is struggling with similar issues, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to help troubleshoot.

On the DIY front, I’ve been experimenting with under-glow car lights inside my vehicle. While they were designed for the undercarriage, I found they work perfectly inside, especially for adding a cool ambiance without the hassle of laying on the ground. Plus, they’re a great way to avoid any local regulations on external colored lights. If you’re into car customization, I’d highly recommend checking them out!

Another project I’ve been working on is integrating my new Nuki Smart Lock Pro 5 with Homey. I was initially hesitant about relying solely on Matter for connectivity, but it’s been a breeze so far. The ability to control everything through Homey has been fantastic, and I love that it extends the battery life of my lock. If anyone else is looking into this setup, I’d recommend exploring Matter integration—it’s surprisingly straightforward and effective.

I’d love to hear about your recent smart home projects or any DIY hacks you’ve tried. Let’s keep the creativity flowing! :rocket::sparkles:
