I recently embarked on a journey to integrate several smart home devices from different brands into a cohesive system, and I’m thrilled to share my experience! 
One of the challenges I faced was combining the Opendaikin AC unit with my Samsung TV and Enigma devices. Initially, I struggled with getting the sitemap to display both the dynamic icon state of my AC and the current temperature in one section. After some research and experimentation, I discovered that using rules could help bridge the gap between different item states. While I haven’t delved into rules yet, I’m eager to explore how they can enhance my setup further.
Here’s a quick tip I learned: concatenating strings in the sitemap can help display multiple pieces of information in a single section. For example, I now show both the AC power state and the indoor temperature in one neat display. It’s a small tweak, but it makes a big difference in how intuitive my system feels!
