I’d like to share my recent experience integrating a variety of smart devices, focusing on KNX tunnel mode configuration, boiler control, and lighting automation. This journey not only enhanced my home’s functionality but also brought a sense of accomplishment.
First, configuring the KNX system in tunnel mode was a game-changer. I was initially unsure if a KNX IP gateway was necessary, but after some research and setup, it became clear that tunnel mode was the way to go. The newer models not only offer better brightness but also simplified pairing compared to the older versions. The ability to control them via both Apple Home and LIFX Matter made integration effortless. Plus, the new black trim complements my home’s aesthetic beautifully!
Lastly, integrating the Shelly Dimmer 2 into my smart home setup was a breeze. Creating an external URL to control it from my webpage added a personal touch, allowing me to manage lights alongside my camera feed. It’s these small enhancements that truly make a home feel smart.
