Doorbell Detection: I attached a Z-Wave sensor to my wired 24V doorbell. When someone rings the bell, the magnetic coil inside triggers the sensor, which I’ve configured to send an alert to my phone. It’s not perfect—I wish the alert message was more specific than “Doorbell is open”—but it works flawlessly.

Security Monitoring: Pairing this with my front door camera has been a lifesaver. If I’m not home and the doorbell rings, I get an alert and can immediately check the camera. If something looks off, I can flash lights on and off or call the police. It’s given me peace of mind, especially when I’m away from home.
