I’ve been working on integrating various devices, including Shelly and Homematic (HM) devices, and it’s been an incredible journey. Let me walk you through my experience and some tips I’ve picked up along the way.First, I started with the basics: getting all my devices connected and ensuring they communicated seamlessly. I have to admit, it wasn’t always smooth sailing. For instance, my Shelly 1 Mini Gen3 had a bit of a hiccup where it wouldn’t switch on after a few weeks of use. After some troubleshooting, I realized it was a matter of resetting the device and ensuring proper power supply. Now, it’s working like a charm!On the HM side, I’ve been using the HM-CC-VD motorized window shutters. They’ve been a fantastic addition to my setup, allowing me to automate my windows with ease. However, I did encounter a few ‘device communication disturbed’ errors. Turns out, simply resetting the device and ensuring a stable network connection solved the issue. One of the highlights of my setup has been integrating Shelly devices with my existing smart home ecosystem. The Shelly i3 has been a lifesaver for monitoring and controlling my outdoor lights. It’s been a breeze to set up, and the reliability is unmatched. I’ve also been experimenting with the Shelly Plus 2PM for more advanced automation, and it’s exceeded my expectations.For those of you looking to integrate multiple brands, my advice is to start small, test each component thoroughly, and don’t hesitate to reach out to the community for support.
