First, I upgraded my hub to the latest firmware, which made a huge difference in stabilizing my Z-Wave network. I was struggling with inconsistent communication between my Fibaro roller shutters and the hub, but after a clean reset and firmware update, everything started working like clockwork. The shutters now respond instantly to commands from my SmartThings app!
For my Arlo cameras, I’ve been experimenting with the local recording feature, and I have to say, it’s been a game-changer for reliability. I was initially confused about how to access the recorded footage, but after a bit of trial and error, I figured out the process. The video quality is crisp, and I love that it’s all stored locally without relying on the cloud.
One thing I’d love to hear more about is integrating multiple brands. I’ve got a mix of Z-Wave, Zigbee, and Wi-Fi devices, and while they all work together, I’d love to hear if others have tips for optimizing performance across different protocols.
