I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately, and it’s been an absolute joy! 
One of the most seamless experiences I’ve had is setting up my devices with Google Assistant. It’s incredible how everything from my lights to my thermostat can be controlled with just my voice. However, I did run into a bit of a hiccup when integrating my SmartThings devices with Google Assistant. Initially, I was able to selectively share devices, but with the new Google Action integration, it seems to be an all-or-nothing deal. This led to a cluttered list of devices in my Google Assistant, including motion sensors that I didn’t really need voice commands for. After some experimentation, I figured out a workaround by connecting my Hive thermostat directly to Google Assistant instead of through SmartThings. This not only cleaned up my device list but also eliminated the duplication of devices. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’m excited to see how this integration evolves in the future!
