Hello everyone, I’ve been exploring the possibilities of integrating HomeMatic-IP into my new home setup. After some research and planning, I’ve come up with a detailed plan to automate various aspects of my home, including roller shutters, floor heating, and lighting. My goal is to create a seamless and efficient smart home environment using the HomeMatic-IP Access Point. Here’s a breakdown of my plan:
Kitchen:
- 1 electric roller shutter controlled by a switch using HmIP-BROLL.
- 8 non-dimmable LED ceiling spots and 1 non-dimmable LED ceiling lamp, both controlled by HmIP-BSM switches.
Living Room:
- 2 electric roller shutters with HmIP-BROLL.
- 4 dimmable LED ceiling spots and 1 dimmable LED ceiling lamp, controlled by HmIP-BDT and HmIP-BRC2 switches.
- 1 floor heating system regulated by a HmIP-BWTH thermostat.
Bathroom:
- 2 electric roller shutters with HmIP-BROLL.
- 7 dimmable and 2 non-dimmable LED ceiling spots, controlled by HmIP-BDT and HmIP-BSM switches.
- 1 floor heating system with HmIP-BWTH.
I also plan to add motion sensors in the hallway and integrate outdoor lights on the terrace. In the future, I’d like to include window sensors and control an external awning motor using HmIP-SRH.
I’d love to hear from more experienced users if this setup is feasible or if there are any improvements I should consider. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!
Best regards,
Thomas
