I’m thrilled to share my recent smart home journey, especially after setting up my Hubitat and integrating some Cync bulbs. As a newbie, I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but it’s been a rewarding experience!
I started with the basics—connecting my Google Home and Echo devices. The Hubitat setup was straightforward, and I was amazed by how seamlessly it integrated with my existing ecosystem. The Sengled bulbs I got with my Echo purchase were a nice bonus, but I wanted to explore more options for better customization.
That’s when I stumbled upon Cync bulbs. They were a game-changer for my older home without neutral wires. I learned a few tricks along the way, like avoiding groups to prevent mesh issues and keeping the number of bulbs per ‘home’ under 50. I also discovered that a faulty bulb can disrupt the whole setup, so I made sure to replace any problematic ones promptly.
While there were some bumps, like constant resets and mesh connectivity issues, reaching out to customer support and following their tips made a world of difference. Now, my lights are reliable, and the setup feels more like an extension of my home than just technology.
