Smart Home Journey: Lights, Thermostats, and Automation

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a bit about my recent smart home journey. I’ve been diving into integrating various devices to make my space more efficient and enjoyable. :star2:

Starting with lighting, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the Govee LED strips. The color transitions are smooth, and the app integration makes it a breeze to set up custom scenes. Whether it’s a relaxing evening or a vibrant party mode, these lights have really transformed my space. :ok_hand:

On the thermostat front, I’ve been experimenting with the Tado V3+. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’ve managed to get it working seamlessly with my heating system. The app’s interface is user-friendly, and the ability to set custom temperature profiles has been a game-changer for maintaining comfort while keeping energy usage in check. :thermometer:

One thing I’ve been curious about is automating my input_number entities. I’ve managed to set fixed values, but I’d love to find a way to increment the value by a specific number when triggered. Has anyone tackled something like this before? Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated! :bulb:

Lastly, I’ve been exploring the world of smart plugs and switches. The Wyze thermostat installation was a breeze, and it’s been reliable so far. However, I’m still looking for the perfect combination of bulbs and switches to control my ceiling lights without rewiring. Any recommendations would be fantastic! :rocket:

All in all, it’s been an exciting journey, and I’m looking forward to seeing how much further I can push the boundaries of smart home automation. Thanks for reading, and happy tinkering! :control_knobs:
