Hello everyone! I wanted to share some of my recent smart home adventures and maybe pick up a few tips along the way. 
First off, I’ve been diving into the world of Zigbee automation. I recently added a couple of IKEA FYRTUR blinds to my setup, and while it took some trial and error, I managed to get them working perfectly with my Conbee II USB stick! The key was resetting the signal extender and pairing it first. Now, I can control them through Home Assistant, and it’s such a smooth experience. If anyone else is struggling with similar setups, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to share the step-by-step process I figured out! 
On the networking front, I had an interesting challenge with my 3G modem. It turns out the firmware was outdated, and I couldn’t update it using the standard tool. After some research, I discovered that manually updating the firmware through the device’s web interface was the solution. It was a bit nerve-wracking, but it worked like a charm! If anyone else is stuck with an old firmware version, here’s a tip: always check the device’s built-in update options before giving up. 
Now, for something a bit more fun—DIY projects! I’ve been experimenting with LED strips around my garden, and the results are absolutely stunning! 
I’ve wrapped them around the base of some trees, and it creates this magical ambiance in the evenings. If anyone has tips on how to make this setup more energy-efficient or durable, I’d love to hear them! 
Lastly, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my smart home devices more seamlessly. For instance, I’ve been using Hubitat to control a mix of Z-Wave and Zigbee devices, and it’s been a game-changer.
