I’m thrilled to share my recent journey in setting up a smart home panel using Home Assistant! 
After some research, I decided to go with an Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet paired with a sleek case to house everything neatly. The setup process was smoother than I expected—using the latest Amazon firmware and Home Assistant’s Full Kiosk mode, I managed to get everything running without needing to root the tablet. The best part? No visible wires at all! 
Here’s a quick rundown of what I did:
