Smart Home Projects: Govee Lyra Lamp & Geiger Counter Integration

Hey everyone! :star2: I’ve been diving into some exciting smart home projects lately, and I wanted to share my experiences with you all. First off, I recently got my hands on the Govee Lyra RGBICWW Floor Lamp Pro and it’s been a game-changer for my living space! :rocket: I was pleasantly surprised by its sleek design and vibrant lighting options. It’s definitely a hidden gem in the Govee lineup, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking to upgrade their home lighting setup. My kids even want one each now—talk about a hit! :joy:

Another project I’ve been working on is integrating a Geiger Counter into my smart home setup. I came across the GM-45 Geiger Counter Radiation Detector and was blown away by its capabilities. It’s incredibly sensitive and can detect alpha, beta, and gamma/x-ray radiation, which is perfect for my needs. I’m currently exploring how to create a plugin for this device to seamlessly integrate it with my existing smart home ecosystem. If anyone has experience with similar integrations, I’d love to hear your tips! :man::computer:

On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with baking bread and found an interesting connection to smart home tech! :baguette_bread: Humidity levels in my kitchen have a significant impact on my bread’s texture and rise. Using my dad’s thermo-hygrometer, I’ve been tracking humidity during the baking process and adjusting my recipes accordingly. It’s been a fun way to combine my love for baking with my passion for smart home automation! :adult::fried_egg:

I’d love to hear about your latest smart home projects or any cool integrations you’ve worked on. Drop your thoughts below and let’s get the conversation rolling!
